As we wrap up our main season and head into the Sizzling Summer Series and our beloved youth camps, the Board of Directors and Staff of the Fountain Hills Theater want to thank you for your continued support and participation in our theater. Without you, we would not be able to provide live performing arts and education programs for people of all ages.
As you may have heard, Suzu Henderson, our Executive Director since 2016, has resigned. While we hate to see her go, we are so very grateful for the body of work she has provided to us. During her tenure, our organization has made great strides in governance, systems, modernization and best practices, all the while continuing to offer high-quality, award-winning artistic productions. We feel well equipped to continue our journey forward with renewed strengths in all aspects of the organization. We are also grateful that she has graciously agreed to stay on as a member of our Board of Directors and will be assisting in our transition to a new era of leadership. Stay tuned for more on that!
A two-pronged team of current leaders within the organization will step in for Ms. Henderson during the interim, while a search is conducted for a new executive director. Kiera Allen, Manager of Finance and Operations, along with Peter J. Hill, Artistic and Technical Director, will work together to ensure continued fiscally responsible and successful operations during the transition.
As we begin the search for a new Executive Director, we hope that you will now, more than ever, keep our organization in your thoughts when it comes to quality entertainment. Please join us for our Sizzling Summer Series, produced by Copperstate Productions, with Ashes to Ashes, The Big Radio Broadcast of 1941, and Country Jukebox. Our new ticketing structure and our exciting ShowHopper Flex Pass is our progressive approach to adapt to the desires of our patrons. Tickets and ShowHopper Flex Passes are now available for what promises to be an amazing 2018-19 theater season that opens August 10 with Ring of Fire; followed on August 31 with Jesus Christ Superstar. The Youth Theater opens their season on Sept 21, with Narnia…and this is only the beginning! Be sure to call the Box Office soon to order your tickets.
We want to assure you that your confidence in our organization is well placed and that Fountain Hills Theater will continue to be the bright, artistic beacon that you enjoy.
Board of Directors President, Fountain Hills Theater
