COVID-19 VIRUS RESPONSE UPDATE ? March 26, 2020

Dear Beloved Patrons, Actors, Fountain Hills Community,?and all of the Greater Communities of The Valley,

For over three glorious decades, Fountain Hills Theater has cherished creating award-winning, year-round theatrical productions for Fountain Hills and the greater communities of the Valley. As you are now too aware, the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to forever change the way we live.

To ensure safety and our ability to continue offering future programming, we have closed our doors and ceased normal operations until at least June 1, 2020. We are sincerely committed to re-opening the doors of our Theater. As a result of going dark, all performances of SUDS the 60?s Musical are cancelled and performances of Million Dollar Quartet and Les Miserables School Edition are postponed (new dates to be announced). We intend to resume reduced Box Office hours on May 1, 2020 if CDC guidelines allow.

During this trying economic time, practicality has had to overshadow desire and we have been forced to make some tough decisions. Salaries have been cut, and budgets have been restructured. Be assured that we will continue to work with our dedicated long-term staff that you know, and to the best of our ability, we will strive to help them weather this crisis. Effective immediately, personnel will be working reduced hours remotely. This means that during our first dark month, our ability to return phone calls or to reach out to individual patrons is limited. If you have an urgent need, the best way to reach us is via email. We will get back to you as soon as possible. We intend to resume reduced Box Office hours on May 1, 2020.

Please understand how much we value our patrons and supporter relationships and accept our sincerest apologies when we say that due to these unforeseen challenges, we are unable to provide refunds on canceled shows at this time.?We ask for your patience and understanding and will address this issue in the future when we reopen. As you well know, Fountain Hills Theater is a non-profit organization. We would be so grateful if you would please consider converting your ticket purchase to a tax-deductible donation to our Theater. If donation is not possible for you, your ticket purchase(s) will be honored with a credit(s) for any future Fountain Hills Theater performance, as well as an offer of an additional discount for future tickets purchased. We ask for your patience during this time. Our staff will reach out in May, to everyone holding tickets for a canceled or postponed performance. We understand this is unfortunate, and may be inconvenient.?Please know that we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support.

We look forward to the time when we will re-open our doors, turn on the lights, step back on to the stage, and see your smiling faces. Thank you for being there beside us, always, and during these most challenging of days, and thank you for continuing to support the live arts. Please take care of yourselves and your families, and continue to follow CDC safety guidelines.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors of Fountain Hills Theater,
Michael Wallot, Executive Director and our Staff
