A miserly and miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with a “bah humbug,” until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Through a restless night, the spirits show him happy memories from his past, cruel realities from the present and the grim future should he continue his cantankerous ways. With an award-winning musical adaptation by Fountain Hills Theater’s Artistic Director, Peter J. Hill, Scrooge’s story of redemption remains as powerful and uplifting as it ever was.
To audition:
Auditioners are asked to sing 16- 32 bars of a song that best shows off their voice and range. An accompanist is provided. No recorded accompaniment, please. Please dress for dance audition following. Auditioners should be prepared with a short monologue if requested.

Video Auditions:
Must be submitted prior to October 17, and may substitute for appearing at the Saturday and Sunday auditions. Auditioners must be available to attend in-person callbacks October 20 if required. Video should include a short song no to exceed 2 minutes in length, and be uploaded with a headshot, and a resume (if available) when filling out the digital audition form linked above.
FHT seeks to include persons of every race, color, culture, age, gender, creed, physical disability, and sexual orientation. Character ages are not set in stone and all roles are open to all ethnicities unless otherwise stated. Actors should consider roles if they feel they can represent the characters and age range listed.
CASTING FOR:
DICK WILKINS (M, 18-25) Fezziwig’s overly enthusiastic junior clerk
YOUNG EBENEZER (M, 8-12) A school-aged boy.
EBBY (M, 18-25) Ebenezer Scrooge as a young man, before his bitterness.
BELINDA CRATCHIT (F, 7-13) Youngest daughter of the Cratchits.
MARTHA CRATCHIT (F, 16-20) Eldest daughter of the Cratchits.
TINY TIM (M, 7-10) A kind-hearted, sickly boy who loves Christmas.
BELLE (F, 18-30) A young woman with fierce convictions and the lost love of Ebenezer.
ELIZABETH HOLLOWELL (F, 18-30) Fred’s outgoing and playful wife.
MRS. DILBERT (F, Any age) Scrooge’s curmudgeonly house keeper.
A FULL ENSEMBLE (All ages) Plays all the other various roles to tell the classic tale.
The roles of Scrooge, Marley, Bob Cratchit, Martha Cratchit, Peter Cratchit, Mr. & Mrs. Fezziwig, Fred, Ghost of Christmas Past, and Ghost of Christmas Present are pre-cast.
